Restaurant “Mylios” at the “Hero” business center invites you to rediscover the pleasure of eating and make time for yourself

2025-10-24 Company news

Modern life is a constant rush between tasks, deadlines, and meetings. Time has become such a scarce resource that even rest is often planned as meticulously as the workday itself. In this pace, it’s becoming increasingly rare to pause and simply enjoy life. “Mylios”, now open at the “Hero” business center, invites guests to do exactly that.

Created by chef and entrepreneur Donatas Dabrovolskas, the new restaurant offers more than just delicious, honest food – it’s an experience that helps you slow down, recharge, and restore balance. Visitors are invited not just to eat, but to rediscover the joy that comes from simplicity and sincerity.

A space designed for presence

“The idea for ‘Mylios’ was born from a desire to create a multi-layered food concept that naturally embraces all-day rituals – breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening gatherings, and even takeaway. It’s the result of years of different culinary projects, travels, and connections with people. At ‘Mylios’, we’ve brought together the most meaningful details – from royal banquets to street food culture: small rituals that help you savour the moment and the distances we travel with others, with taste, and with ourselves,” says Donatas Dabrovolskas.

The concept aligns perfectly with the philosophy of “Hero”, notes Gintarė Žemaitė, Head of Commercial Real Estate Development at Realco.

“The restaurant’s focus on mindfulness, slowness, and time for oneself naturally complements ‘Hero’s’ ‘healthy community’ vision. Emotional and physical wellbeing begins with self-care – something we encourage through many of the innovative solutions integrated into the business center,” emphasizes Žemaitė.

Donatas believes that in today’s fast-paced world, slowing down – or, as he says, grounding yourself – is essential for both body and mind.

“Everyone is constantly rushing. The ‘grab and go’ culture has taken over lunchtime – we just ‘refuel’ and keep running. But food is nourishment not only for the body, but also for the soul. At ‘Mylios’, we’ve created a space where you’ll want to stay longer, unwind, relax, and enjoy both the food and the company,” he explains.

According to Donatas, the restaurant’s engine is its exceptional team: the kitchen is led by chef Jolanta Šilgalienė, who brings both her own and Dabrovolskas’ ideas to life. Gintarė Pupelė, the restaurant’s administrator, ensures the comfort and welcoming atmosphere for guests, while each team member contributes to the warmth, connection, and professionalism that define the place.

Mood through space

To foster connection, “Mylios” also features community book shelves – guests are welcome to bring their own books to share or borrow one left by others.

“This small detail is not just about sharing culture or strengthening community ties – it’s also another way to slow down and make time for yourself. You can drop by for a coffee, spend time here even alone with a good book, and maybe leave with new thoughts or inspiration,” says Dabrovolskas.

The same philosophy is reflected in the restaurant’s interior and spatial design, with different areas adapted to different times of the day.

“The breakfast area feels like a small library – soft seating and a calm atmosphere help start the day without rush or stress. During lunchtime, the central hall near the entrance comes alive with movement, while still maintaining a cozy feel. In the evening, the lighting softens, the tables are set for intimate dinners or gatherings with friends,” explains Dabrovolskas.

He adds that the building itself – bright, modern, and open – represents work, speed, and movement, while the restaurant will serve as a natural oasis of calm, balancing that energy.

Pleasure on the plate – and in the soul

The new restaurant does not aim to become a synonym for luxury, nor does it follow one strict culinary direction. The goal, says Dabrovolskas, is to combine different experiences and memories – from travels and encounters with people – into every dish.

“Guests will discover many layers of meaning: taste, journey, conversation, and memory. If I had to describe ‘Mylios’ menu in one idea, I’d say it’s like warm bread with butter. Nothing overly complicated – just honest food, made with heart. And that’s often all we need,” he smiles.

According to him, food has a special power to transport people to another place or time, helping them escape daily routine. Asked what feeling he hopes guests will take away from ‘Mylios’, he answers with one word: pleasure.
